In-state CB Picks Up An Offer

Statesville High School has a lot of talent in its junior class. One of their top prospects, Breon Borders, has seen his recruitment pick up over the past few weeks.

"I got my first offer from Duke," said Breon Borders. "I visited there a few weeks ago, and that is when they offered me."

The Blue Devils are not the only school interested in Borders.

"I have also been to Wake Forest and North Carolina," he said. "They are both saying they are really interested in me. Wake Forest said that they were going to offer me soon."

Duke, North Carolina, and Wake Forest are the schools that Borders has had the most contact, but Clemson. Central Florida, South Carolina, and East Carolina have also expressed interest.

The next few months will be busy time for the Greyhounds' cornerback.

"This Spring, I am going to go to the Shrine Bowl combine and maybe a few more combines. Then then this summer, I am going to go to camps at ECU, UNC, and Wake Forest," he said.

Borders plans to narrow his list of schools down by the end of the summer and will likely make his commitment during his senior season.
