Devils Draw 2 Seed In South Region

The NCAA Tournament brackets have been announced and Duke will begin locally with an opening round game in Greensboro, NC.

After posting a 27-6 overall record, the Blue Devils have earned a #2 seed in the South Region.

Duke will open their quest for a fifth NCAA Championship against Patriot's Lehigh Mountain Hawks. The Mountain Hawks enter the tournament after posting a 26-7 overall record and finishing things off with a Patriot League championship victory over Bucknell.

Lehigh's played notable games this year against Michigan State and St. John's - losing both by less than 10 points.

Kentucky is the top seed in Duke's region while Baylor and Indiana are the third and fourth seeds.

Sound the Blue Devils win their first round match-up, they will face the winner of Xavier and Notre Dame. The Irish are coached by former Coach K assistant Mike Brey.

If Duke could manage to get out of Greensboro, they could stage a rematch of the 1991 National Championship game against UNLV, which picked up the sixth seed. Alternatively Duke could face Baylor before looking at a game against UK.
