West Virginia WR emerging

One of West Virginia's better receiver prospects is just starting to get his name out on the national recruiting circuit. Recently he visited Durham to participate in the Duke one day camp.

"Right now I have an offer from Ohio University for football and an academic offer from Marshall," said Martinsburg (W.Va.) High standout Cedric Brown. "I'm hearing from Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Kentucky, Duke, Georgia Tech, Ohio, West Virginia, Marshall, USC, UCLA, Rutgers, and the Ivy League."

Brown, a 6-foot-1, 180 pound receiver, reports a 4.5 forty time and weight room maxes of 270 and 370 pounds on the bench press and squat presses respectively. He's currently using those measureables and the camp circuit to find more interest and offers.

"I camped at Duke and will be camping at Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee for sure. I've also taken unofficial visits to Rutgers, Tennessee, Kentucky, Marshall, Ohio, and Duke."

The Duke visit occurred after the one day camp and Brown came away impressed with the entire presentation.

"For starters Duke has great facilities. I also really enjoyed the coaching staff and the people around the program. They were all very friendly. It was a good atmosphere."

"I mainly interacted with Coach Lubick, the receivers coach. I left Duke with the impression that they are on the rise in the ACC and there is nothing but upside with their coaches and program."

So what's next for Brown?

"I'm camping with Kentucky and Tennessee over the next few weeks and then I'm going to Austin, Texas to compete for the National USA High School U-19 football team in July. I'm also on the East roster to play in the Semper-Fi Bowl game in Phoenix in January."

"As far as a decision goes, I willl probably make a decision about where to attend college after football season is over. I plan to major in Business."
