He camped at all five of those schools this summer and he likes each one of them.
"I like each school that has offered the same right now. If I had to name a top five, it would be the five that has offered. Each school is a good school and I like different things about each school.
No school stands out more than the others right now. If a school offers me, they will go on the list and once I get deeper into recruiting, I will start making a real list."
A number of other schools could be close to offering the 6-foot-3, 185 pound signal caller out of Davidson (N.C.) Davidson Day School.
"I am hearing from North Carolina State and Duke probably the most right now. I have talked to Auburn, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt some too. I am not sure who may be thinking about offering me right now, but those are the schools showing the most interest."
That interest from top programs is only going to make Grier better in the long run.
"I am using the offers and all of the interest as motivation," Grier said. "With the offers in, I am just working that much harder, pushing myself that much more, and using it to make myself better.
"It is a relief in some ways because I don't to wonder about that first offer, but nothing is official yet. I just have to keep working hard."
The 2014 quarterback threw for 3,900 yards and 49 touchdowns in 2011 and he plans to have another big year in 2012.
He plans to visit a few campuses this fall for games and some of those are Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
