NOTES

1. Freshman Max McCaffrey seems to have moved himself up the depth chart above classmate Anthony Nash - both are still threats to play this year and avoid a redshirt.

2. Freshman Tanner Stone, a true freshman who flew under many recruiting radars, has worked his way to the primary backup at left tackle.

3. The starting wide receivers average 5-foot-10 and 188 pounds. However, Duke will add an immediate infusion of size with McCaffrey and Issac Blakeney.

4. True freshman TE Erich Schneider has battled his way up the depth chart and will play as a freshman it appears. Schneider is listed at 6-foot-7 and 225 pounds, providing another big redzone target for Sean Renfree.

5. Brandon Connette is not listed on the depth chart, but will factor in as a quarterback, running back, and receiver.

6. The starting offensive line have all been in the program at least three years.

7. Kyler Brown will look to build on his family's success by jumping up as the back-up MLB.

8. Head coach David Cutcliffe indicated that as many as nine freshmen will play on Saturday. Currently, aside from Ross Martin, Duke has listed Max McCaffrey, Corbin McCarthy, and Dwayne Norman on the initial depth chart..

9. The Duke kicking game appears to be set for the next four years with Ross Martin and Will Monday set to start at kicker and punter.
