K will visit Julius Randle today

The third night of head coach Mike Krzyzewski's visit tour will take him to Plano, Texas to meet with the nation's top power forward, Julius Randle. The five star prospect recently narrowed his list to 10 schools and is in the middle of an in-home visit carousel of coaches.

There's little doubt Julius Randle is a hot commodity. Rated as the nation's best power forward and a top four overall player, the 6-foot-8, 240 pound Texan has offers from every program in the country. Recently he narrowed his list to a final 10 consisting of a number of college basketball blue bloods.

Those 10 schools are Texas, Kansas, Baylor, North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, Florida, North Carolina State, Oklahoma & Oklahoma State. This week he's already hosted coaches from North Carolina State, Kentucky, and North Carolina.

On Tuesday evening, Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski and assistant Jeff Capel have their turn to visit. As the recruitment has developed, the Blue Devils have relied heavily on the relationship between Capel and Randle. It's one that began years ago when the now Duke assistant was the head coach at Oklahoma.

"Coach Capel and I are really close," Randle previously told TDD. "We've known each other for so long. He's been recruiting me for as long as I can remember. We talk a lot, and both he and Coach K have told me I'm a major priority for them."

Following the visit with the Duke coaching staff, Randle will visit with the Kansas coaches on Wednesday before taking a break until next week when Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Florida, and Baylor all take their turn for in-home visits.

Currently a Spring decision is expected from Randle, but he's already set up at least one official visit - to Florida on October 6th. Additionally, the five star forward will be in Lexington, Kentucky this weekend for UK's Alumni game.
