Duke working early with huge '14 OT

DeMatha 6-foot-9 beast lineman Brock Ruble eyes three.

Standing at 6-foot-9, 310-pounds, it's no surprise that DeMatha (MD) offensive lineman Brock Ruble is already hearing from several big name schools.

Among them: Duke, the University of North Carolina, Temple, the University of Maryland and Penn State, and he has an offer from Rutgers.

His father, a member of the 1988 Tar Heel class, has made many trips with Brock to Chapel Hill. He's also visited Duke and the University of Maryland.

"The best atmosphere so far was North Carolina," considering he has attended a handful of Tar Heel football games. "I got to spend some good time with the Duke coaches when I was there, and Maryland is close to home- it looks like they are really building something over there."

Maryland has been successful in recent years pulling in a lot of local talent. "My teammates might go there," so that could carry some weight in his decision, though only time will tell. It is clear that these three (Maryland, North Carolina and Duke) are at the top of his list.

"Honestly, I like all of those three. In all of them, the coaches were really nice when talking to me," the soft-spoken lineman said.
