Future Blue Devils: Week 13

Tracking the committed players from the class of 2013 as their senior seasons progress

Joseph Ajeigbe, RB, Norco (Calif.) - Norco won its first round play-off game with a 50-22 on Friday night. Playing just over half the game, the future Blue Devil, Ajeigbe, rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

Norco now stands at 7-4 on the season.

Terrence Alls, WR, Miami (Fla.) Dade Christian - Dade Christian's game against Keys Gate appeared to have been cancelled on Friday.

Darren Andrews, CB, LaPuente (Calif.) Bishop Amat - Andrews and Amat's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs on Friday night as the team lost 40-25 to Long Beach Poly. The Lancers finished the season with a 7-3-1 record.

Johnell Barnes, WR, Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar - Barnes and Dunbar were shut out by Immokalee 19-0 on Friday night. Immokalee held Dunbar to 115 yards, a third of the Tigers' normal output.

Parker Boehme, QB, Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood - The future Blue Devil will miss the rest of the season after re-injuring his toe last week. Boehme was in a walking boot for this game.

Breon Borders, CB, Statesville (N.C.) - The Greyhounds improved to 12-1 on the season with a second round playoff victory over Erwin, 41-29. Borders recorded 12 tackles on the evening.

Gabe Brandner, OL, Columbia (S.C.) Heathwood Hall - Heathwood finished the year 3-8, after losing in the first round of the playoffs a week ago.

Quay Chambers, WR, Monroe (N.C.) - Monroe improved to 10-3 on the year with a 53-0 victory over East Surry in the second round of the playoffs. Chambers, playing on both sides of the ball, helped the Redhawk offense roll on the ground to a 41-0 halftime lead.

Austin Davis, OL, Mansfield (Tex.) - Mansfield beat Franklin 28-21 on Friday to win the Hockomock League's Kelley-Rex Division. The offensive line was critical in controlling the tempo of the game and allowing the team's RB to earn 133 yards on 28 carries (and there touchdowns).

T.J. Douglas, WR, Fort Myers (Fla.) - Fort Myers ended their season 8-2. For the year Douglas, playing quarterback, completed 49 of 111 passes for 632 yards and six touchdowns. He added another 15 touchdowns and 1,053 yards on 151 carries on the ground in an option style offense.

Evrett Edwards, CB, Woodbridge (Va.) - Woodbridge ended the season wit a 17-0 loss to Battlefield High in the quarterfinal of the state playoffs. Evrett recorded seven stops on defense and two catches on offense.

Bryon Fields, CB, Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day - PD was denied a second straight state title on Friday, losing 24-21 to Charlotte Christian Academy. Despite the loss in the championship game, Fields was named to the all-state team.

Jake Kite, S, Roanoke (Va.) Hidden Valley - The playoffs begin this coming Friday for Kite and Hidden Valley. On the season the future Blue Devil has played all over the field on both sides of the ball. He's recored six rushes for 80 yards, 24 catches for 384 yards and four touchdowns, 119 tackles (11.9 per game) at safety, and forced four fumbles.

Sterling Korona, OL, San Antonio (Tex.) Reagan - Reagan's regular season ended at 7-3 after falling to Roosevelt by a 24-21 count. The loss means Reagan will face Smithson Valley in the first round of the playoffs at 7:30 p.m. next Friday in the Alamodome. The offensive line couldn't impose its will on the Rough Rider defense. Just a week after rolling up 330 yards on the ground, the Rattlers were held to just over 120 yards.

Dequavais Mann, CB, Rocky Mount (N.C.) Northern Nash - Northern finished the season with a 2-8 overall record.

Mike Ramsay, DT, Marietta (Ga.) Walker School - Walker School won tenth consecutive game of the year with a 21-0 victory over Gordon Lee on Friday. Walker's win, combined with Mt. Zion's loss to Mt. Paran, gave the Wolverines the Region 6-A championship and the automatic state berth in the Class A playoffs.
