Quoteable: "I know it's going to be a change, but I'm excited about it. I think I'm going to be rooming with Dequavais Mann, who is also coming in early. I feel like the opportunity to get down there and go through the weight training and Spring practice will be a big advantage for me, and I intend to make the most out of getting a head start." - Evrett Edwards
Scouting Report: "Edwards shows good range in the secondary and has the ability to shut down his side of the field. He is also very physical and fearless. He shows the ability to read and react quickly to plays. Edwards plays with good technique and is a ball-hawking defensive back. Overall, he will need to continue to get stronger, but he had the potential to become a special player in college" - Michael Clark, Scout.com

Areas for Improvement:
- Backpedal quickness
Projected 2013 Role: Edwards enrolled early with eyes on battling for the second starting cornerback position in Durham, opposite Ross Cockrell. Spring practice will tell the tale, but right now it's a safe bet that he will not redshirt in 2013.
