Name: Jake Kite
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 185 pounds
Position / Projected Pos: S / S

Ranking: Three-star safety, ranked #101st nationally

Recruiting Recap: Kite was the fourth member of the class of 2013 to commit, choosing Duke over offers from Ohio and North Carolina State, as well as interest from Illinois, Stanford, East Carolina, and Pittsburgh.

"Honestly they'd been talking to me a for a while and I was extremely interested in everything they were saying. They have a plan for me and for the program."

Kite, who measures out at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds is a multi-positional player and a multi-sport athlete at Hidden Valley High, though most programs projects him as a safety at the next level.

"For my high school team I play safety and slot receiver while also returning kicks and punts. I also wrestle as well. This year I dropped down to 170 pounds, so I'm still working on getting my weight back up for football season. I finished third this year in the state AA class for wrestling with a record of 39 wins in 45 matches."

Scouting Report: "Kite is a hard-nosed football that flies around on defense. At this point in his career, he is solid in pass coverage, but better against the run. He takes good angles when pursuing the football and is a big hitter. Kite also has great instincts and a non-stop motor. " - Michael Clark,
