Name: Mike Ramsay
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 285 pounds
Position / Projected Pos: DT / DT

Ranking: Two-star defensive tackle, ranked #127th nationally

Recruiting Recap: Ramsay was being recruited by Duke, Yale, Georgia, and Virginia. He had offers from Navy, Georgia State, and Furman. After camping in Durham, however, the first BCS offer came in mid-June and it was the last one he needed.

"Coach Cutcliffe offered me personally [at camp]. The first coach to contact me in this process was Coach Petri. When I had a chance to call the coaches [to commit] they were both really excited and welcomed me to Duke."

He's the lone defensive lineman in this class for Duke.

Scouting Report: "I have been told Ramsay has a solid motor, that he is kind of a tweener on the defensive line, but that he has good strength, and that he loves to compete." - Chad Simmons, Scout.com

Noteable: "I was named defensive player of the week twice during the season for the area. I was the defensive player of the year for my division; the team's offensive player of the year; and I was named captain for the GACA all-state game. I also made all-county and all-state." - Mike Ramsay

"I met with Coach Petri on my visit, and I'm gong to be a defensive tackle. I'm the only defensive lineman i this recruiting class. I've been working out to add size and strength." - Mike Ramsay

Projected 2013 Role: Ramsay has the speed to be a strong pass rusher, but not until he's had a year to continue adding strength and size. He will redshirt.
