Weight: 200 pounds
Position / Projected Pos: RB / RB
Ranking: Three-star running back, ranked #74 nationally and 11th in California.
Recruiting Recap: The three-star running back picked the Blue Devils over Air Force, Arizona and Northwestern in mid-August as the high school season was just beginning. Later he was recruited hard by schools such as Arizona State, Boise State, Oregon State, and others, but held firm with Duke.
Ajeigbe is the second Norco product that Duke has landed in the last two years, following his former teammate Corbin McCarthy.
Expert Analysis:"Ajeigbe isn't the biggest back, but he runs with a good deal of power, not unlike many other Norco backs, who use their power and leverage to churn out yards. Ajeigbe said his favorite player is Maurice Jones-Drew and he runs similarly, with explosiveness when he needs to, but with the desire to lower his shoulder and take on a defender."
"He does a good job catching the ball out of the backfield, and could be used in the slot or on fly sweeps, much like Stanford has used his predecessor at Norco, Kelsey Young. He needs to improve on his blocking ability- Norco rarely ever passes, and when they did, it was short passes, so he'll need to improve on that." -Brandon Huffman, Scout.com
Projected 2014 Role: Ajeigbe will join a very deep and talented backfield in Durham. He will most likely redshirt in 2013, but as was proven this season, Duke is unafraid to play their best options at running back. A strong fall practice could see him shed the redshirt if needed.
