Five Star SG gets an offer

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski has offered a seventh member of the class of 2014...

Devin Booker, the five star scoring guard from Moss Point (Miss.) High was offered a scholarship by Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski on Sunday afternoon.

"Coach K offered", said Booker on his Twitter account. "The atmosphere was unbelievable in Cameron."

During his junior season, the 6-foot-4 scoring guard averaged more than 30 points per game for Moss Point High. Following a string of big performances earlier this month, the Blue Devils sent assistant coach Jeff Capel down to scout.

According to Booker, Cape seemed very impressed.

"He told me he was coming down and thought he'd find a guy who could really shoot, but that was about it. Afterwards he told me he saw a whole lot more in my game that he originally expected. Coach Capel said Duke's interest is very high and if he was the head coach, I'd have an offer."

Booker is rated as the nation's No. 3 shooting guard, and No. 23 overall prospect in the class of 2014.
