Devils lead for in-state DE

Harold Landry visited Duke yesterday and left without a scholarship offer. But that changed this morning.

"Duke just offered me this morning" said Harold Landry, who is on his way to Boston College for a weekend visit. "I called Coach (David) Cutcliffe this morning and he told me that I have a scholarship offer from Duke."

The 6-foot-4, 228-pound Landry enjoyed his time in Durham the day before and was excited about the offer.

"I really liked the facilities and the coaching staff," he said. "All the coaches were telling me yesterday how they would love to have me to come to school there and that I could get early playing time. My favorite part was seeing how Coach (Rick) Pertri coaches the defensive line.

How does the offer affect his recruitment?

"Right now, Duke's at the top – they're my leader," Landry said

Landry said along with his visit to Boston College this weekend, he will likely visit Georgia Tech in the next couple of weeks.

Landry finished his junior season with 92 tackles, eight sacks, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.
