Duke a favorite for Florida DB

Antwan Cordy has six offers and one of them especially has his attention right now. The 2014 athlete of South Dade (Homestead, FL) has a busy summer of camps ahead of him and he's hoping to turn some heads. Get the latest on Cordy here.

Antwan Cordy is not stressed about his recruitment. He's just focused on working hard, and he knows the rest will come. So far, the 5-foot-9, 180-pound athlete has picked up offers from Duke, Minnesota, Western Kentucky, Hawaii, Marshall, and Florida Atlantic. "I'm taking it one day at a time," Cordy said.

While he's keeping a pretty open mind, he said Duke is his favorite school right now because of the attention the Blue Devils have given him.

"They show me a lot of love. I haven't visited the school yet, but they were the first one to offer me, so they showed me a lot of love." he said.

Cordy talks to Duke Offensive Coordinator Scottie Montgomery often and said they've developed a strong bond.

"I talk to him like a close friend, we're getting really close now," he said.

"He liked my pickup speed, my catch up speed, how I jump, my quick feet, things like that."

The South Dade standout matches up against teammate Tyre Brady in practice. Brady is a talented receiver that has some big-time programs after his skills, and he said matching up against Cordy is no easy feat. Cordy knows he can be a help to a team at the next level. "I'm pretty good in coverage," he said.

This summer, he plans to camp at several programs and show coaches what he can do.

"I'm going to Miami camp, FSU camp, and some other camps," he said.

"(I want to) show them that I can really play, that I'm good for the team."
