The Blue Devils have released their pre game injury report for Week 1 against North Carolina Central. TDD runs down the list and offers notes on what the injuries mean going forward.

Duke vs. N.C. Central

OT Casey Blaser (hand)
CB Jared Boyd (leg)
DE Jordan DeWalt-Ondijo (leg)
LB C.J. France (lower body)
DE Britton Grier (upper body)
QB Thomas Sirk (leg)
WR Jack Wise (upper body)

OT Tanner Stone (leg)

- The loss of Stone and Blaser were expected as Duke announced their injuries and surgeries earlier in the preseason. Stone will miss the entire season, but Blaser is expected to be cleared to return midway through the season. This will add additional depth to the offensive line, as he was one of the primary options at offensive tackle.

- C.J. France was listed as the starting Will Linebacker on the depth chart, but an injured ankle will keep him out of this week's game. Without France, Duke will turn either David Helton or Kyler Brown to start alongside Kelby Brown. Deion Williams will also get extended snaps. Starting wouldn't be anything new for Helton, who has started six times in 22 appearances.

- The defensive line lost a pair of reserves in DeWalt-Ondijo and Grier. Duke will still be able to run out the top four options at the position with the return of a healthy Justin Foxx.

- Reserve QB Thomas Sirk is listed as out after suffering a ruptured right Achilles tendon back in April. At the time of the injury, the second string signal caller had no timetable for return announced. However, it is encouraging to see him not listed as "out for the season".
