- Corbin McCarthy is banged up, but expected to play on Saturday. The R-Fr. safety has appeared in the first three games, making seven total tackles on the year. McCarthy didn't play a week ago.

- After missing week two, Deondre Singleton may get his first career start on Saturday, replacing Dwayne Norman, who suffered a leg injury against Pitt.

- The offensive line will get another shot in the arm this week as Casey Blaser returns to the active lineup. Blaser broke his hand before the season started after being named as one of, if not the top backup at offensive tackle. The loss of Blaser and Tanner Stone necessitated the move from DT to OT by Sam Marshall who has played 19 snaps.

- Duke will be missing defensive tackle A.J. Wolf for the third straight week along with DB Jared Boyd. Wolf has appeared in two games this season as a reserve on the interior of the line, while Boyd has not yet taken the field for Duke.
