Future Blue Devils: Week 10

As the 2013 high school football season continues throughout the country, TDD runs down the performances of each of the future Blue Devils in the class of 2014.

Tinashe Bere, LB, Cincinnati (OH) Sycamore: The Aviators suffered a third straight defeat, losing to Lakota East 28-21. Sycamore rallied from a 28-7 deficit, but couldn't make it all the way back. The Aviators are now assured they will not make the playoffs for a school record third straight season.

Zavier Carmichael, LB, Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's: St. Paul's won a third straight game on Friday by beating LeFlore 42-14. The Saints improved to 7-2 overall and 6-1 in regional play. The Saints will be seeded second in the playoffs.

Quaven Ferguson, DT, Easley (S.C.) High: Easley fell to 4-5 on the season with a 28-3 defeat to Greenwood on Friday. Ferguson is Duke's latest commit at defensive tackle.

Zach Harmon, OL, Toledo (OH) Central Catholic: Central Catholic won for the ninth consecutive time, beating Lima Sr. High 70-26. Harmon continues to rehab a neck injury which will rob him of his senior season.

Christian Harris, OL, Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill: Collins Hill won a second straight game on Friday, defeating North Gwinnett 53-28. North Gwinnett had been ranked No.1 in the state. Head coach Kevin Reach called the win "one of the biggest the program has ever had".

Davis Koppenhaver, TE, Newhall (Calif.) Hart: Hart moved to 8-0 on the season with a 38-3 victory over Saugus. The future Duke TE hauled in eight catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

Johnathan Lloyd, ATH, Graham (N.C.) Southern Alamance: A third straight loss for Lloyd and Southern Alamance, this time by a 64-42 margin at the hands of Southeast Guilford. The Duke commit threw for 303 yards and four touchdowns, but the Patriots were held scoreless in the first and third quarters and played catch-up all night.

Tripp McNeill, OL, Mocksville (N.C.) Davie County: The War Eagles vented the frustration of a long season with a 50-0 victory over Parkland on Friday. Davie put the outcome away in the first half (29-0).

Zach Muniz, CB, St. Louis, (MO) Christian Brothers: CBC rebounded from a close loss last week to beat Howell on the road by a 30-12 count. The game was a one possession affair until the final five minutes when CBC added 13 points over the last 4:14. Howell had been ranked No. 2 in the state.

Nicodem Pierre, QB, Miami (Fla.) Coral Reef: Coral Reef had a bye week.

Jake Sanders, OL, Carrollton (Ga.) Carrollton: Sanders and Carrollton moved to 8-0 with an easy 63-21 win against Alexander. The game was over by halftime with Carrollton leading 49-7 at the break. Sanders and the rest of the O-line gave up no sacks and allowed their RBs to run for 325 yards.

Alonzo Saxton, CB, Columbus (OH) Bishop Hartley: Bishop Hartley moved to 8-1 on the season with a 42-16 victory over Withrow. Saxton factored in on offense, scoring the team's first touchdown, a 67 yard reception in the first quarter.

Kameron Schroeder, OL, Elk Grove (Calif.) Cosumnes Oaks: A fifth straight win for Elk Grove and Schroeder as the Wolfpack ran over Vista del Lago by a 40-21 margin.

Taariq Shabazz, DE, Kennesaw (Ga.) Kennesaw: Shabazz and the Mustangs fell to 1-7 on the season after a 84-0 loss to Campbell on Friday.

Chris Taylor, WR, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University School Nova: University suffered a first loss of the year by falling 28-24 to Manatee High. University seemed to be cruising to a 9th win on the year, leading 21-0 before MHS roared back to win. Taylor finished the game with five catches for 75 yards

Shaun Wilson, RB, Charlotte (N.C.) West Mecklenburg: West Meck fell to 7-2 on the season with a 29-13 loss to Charlotte Catholic on Friday night. Wilson missed most of the second half with a concussion but still finished with 93 yards.
