ACC releases the 2014-2015 schedule

The ACC has released the 2014-2015 conference schedules for its member institutions. The Blue Devils will once again face one of the toughest conference schedules in the country.

Without a true round-robin schedule, Duke's opponents are divided into three categories: (1)Home-and-home opponents; (2)Home only opponents; and (3)Road only opponents.

The Blue Devils will play North Carolina, Wake Forest, Syracuse, and Notre Dame twice. The Blue Devils split with the Tar Heels, Deacons, and Orange last season. Duke was also defeated by the Irish in South Bend a season ago.

Opponents coming to Cameron Indoor Stadium, but not getting a return date during the season include Miami, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Pittsburgh, and Boston College. A season ago the Blue Devils defeated Miami, Georgia Tech twice, Pittsburgh, and Boston College, but did fall to Clemson in the regular season before besting the Tigers in the ACC Tournament quarterfinal round.

Louisville's first season in the ACC will see the Cardinals hosting the Blue Devils without traveling to Cameron Indoor Stadium. Other teams avoiding a trip to Cameron include NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Florida State. Duke beat State in both the regular season and ACC Tournament last year, and bested Florida State and and Virginia Tech as well. ACC Champion Virginia lost to Duke at Cameron, but won the return contest in the ACC Championship game.
