Duke lands big California OT

The Blue Devils have landed a huge commitment from California in the form of three star offensive tackle Reno Rosene.

Reno Rosene has committed to Duke sources indicated to Scout.com on Thursday afternoon. The three star prospect chose the Blue Devils over offers from Washington State, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Arizona State, and others.

The nation's No. 59 rated offensive tackle confirmed the commitment with TDD later on Thursday.

"Yes sir, I committed this morning to Duke," said Rosene.

Measuring out at 6-foot-7 and 340 pounds, Rosene projects as a tackle at the collegiate level, though he's also been talked about as a guard depending on the school. The Blue Devils favored him on the outside of the line.

"I've heard guard a couple of times and it's something I'm open to," said Rosene previously. "I don't really care though. I love tackle and I can play either side."

Rosene said he's hoping to get down to 310 by the time the season starts. "I'm training kind of heavy right now, and my coach knows that, but I'm trying to get down to 310 by the season," said Rosene. "We're definitely going to get me down before then."
