Trevon McSwain commits to Duke

Duke's 11th commitment from the class of 2015 popped on Tuesday afternoon when Georgia DE Trevon McSwain committed to the Blue Devils.

"I am proud to announce that I will be taking my talents to Durham, NC and will be joining the Blue Devil family," wrote Trevon McSwain on his Twitter account. "I made the decision last night at 8:00 PM. This is not just a four year decision, it is a 40 year decision that will not just better me as a player, but also as a role model."

McSwain picked Duke over offers from 14 other schools including East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Mississippi State, NC State, Nebraska, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Virginia.

The Longhorns of Lanier High School in Sugar Hill, Ga. went 9-3 in 2013. McSwain started all 12 games and made 67 tackles, nine sacks, 16 quarterback hurries, four pass breakups, and forced two fumbles. He was named first team All-Region and All-County.

The 6-foot-6 and 232-pound McSwain is quick for a man his size and brings a lot of pressure on the quarterback from his end position. McSwain is envisioning a lot of double teams this fall because of the scheme.

"I would say my get off on the ball and pursuing the quarterback. In the odd man front I will be head up on the offensive tackle. The double-team will be there a lot this year for me to fight through."
