Blue Devils hold first practice

The Duke basketball program held its season opening practice on Friday .

DURHAM, N.C. -- The Duke men's basketball team opened up preparation for the 2014-15 season with its first official team practice Friday afternoon. The Blue Devils, a consensus top 5 team in the preseason rankings, feature a strong returning core led by co-captains Quinn Cook and Amile Jefferson as well as the nation's top-ranked recruiting class.

Hall of Fame head coach Mike Krzyzewski guided the Blue Devils through an intense opening day of practice with a heavy focus on the principles and foundation that have helped Duke claim four National Championships with 11 Final Four appearances and 13 ACC Tournament titles during his 34-year tenure.
