NOTES

1. No changes from last week’s depth chart to Week Seven’s. Duke has dealt with a virus that ran through the team starting before the Miami game, however the team seems healthy and ready to go for the trip to Atlanta.

2. The Blue Devils stand at 4-1 on the season, marking the second time in three years Duke has won four of the first five games since the 1960s. Since 1965 the Blue Devils have started 4-1 or better just five times. But times are changing…Duke has gone 14-5 in its last 19 games. It is the winningest 19-game stretch for the program since winning 15 and tying one during a 19-contest stretch from Nov. 4, 1961 - Oct. 19, 1963.

3. Senior WR Jamison Crowder caught seven passes at Miami to increase his career total to 227. He enters this week’s game ranked fifth in ACC history for career receptions, just two grabs shy of a tie for fourth. Former Blue Devil Conner Vernon (2009-12/283 catches) holds the all-time league mark.

4. Freshman Shaun Wilson enters this week’s game leading all FBS players in yards per carry with a 12.08 mark.

5. Duke has yielded just 68 points through the initial five games of the season, the fewest surrendered through five since giving up 59 in 1994. The 68 points are the third fewest allowed by the Blue Devils through five games since the start of the 1970 campaign.

6. Duke has recorded 22.0 tackles for lost yardage (-95 yards lost) this season. The defensive line unit has recorded 8.5 of those stops with redshirt senior DE Jordan DeWalt-Ondijo (4.0-21), junior DT Carlos Wray (1.0-9), senior DE Dezmond Johnson (1.0- 4), senior DE Jonathan Jones (1.0-7) and redshirt senior DT Jamal Bruce (1.5-5).

7. Though he’s lost his place on the depth chart, redshirt senior C.J. France returned against Tulane after missing two games due to a leg injury. He finished the Miami contest with a year-best three solo tackles.
