Duke Coaches Visiting Swanigan

Head coach Mike Krzyzewski will visit with five star big man Caleb Swanigan tonight as the Blue Devils look for next year’s replacement for Jahlil Okafor.

The 6-foot-9 and 255 pound Swanigan has made it clear he’s not really focusing on the recruiting process at this point, but that isn’t stopping the Duke coaching staff from flying to Fort Wayne this afternoon for an in-home meeting.

Currently Swanigan has offers from Michigan State, Duke, Arizona, California, UCLA, Purdue, Kentucky, among others. He visited Michigan State and California recently. Prior to those trips he made the unofficial trip to Durham.

“Cameron Indoor Stadium was great, and I got to see what Duke has to offer and how they do things,” said Swanigan. “I got to see how Coach K does things in practice, and it is just really historic there and I liked the visit a lot.”

Swanigan will have a chance to visit Duke again, this time officially, following the completion of his senior season.

He is ranked as the No. 5 center and the No. 9 player overall in the class of 2015.
