School: Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake High
Vitals: 6-foot-3, 310 pounds
Postion Guard; Projects as Guard/Tackle

Offers: Arkansas, Duke, Indiana, Kentucky, UMass, Miami (FL), Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Penn State, South Florida, Tennessee, Central Florida.
How Duke Fits: The Blue Devils are Santos’ most recent offer. The Blue Devils are hoping to convince the big Floridian to attend camp in Durham, or more immediately a junior day.
Scouting: Santos is a quick and agile guard prospect playing out of position this season. As East Lake coach Bob Hudson told me last month, “we don’t have Mason Cole”. Hence, the reason why their best offensive linemen (Santos) is playing left tackle.
Santos had an up and down game but he’s only played the tackle position for a short time. I thought he did a nice job in pass pro, particularly sliding his feet and staying in front of the defensive end. This is a young man that gets off the ball well, is powerful and moves well. He certainly has a ‘guard’ frame.
Santos is a wrestler, which typically bodes well for linemen because you learn to play with leverage and how to use your hands. Wrestlers also must be well conditioned athletes.
Quotable: "This offseason, I'm just trying to become a stronger player overall," Santos said. "I'm really trying to show this year why I'm a force to be reckoned with on the team, and to really show everyone that East Lake football is a serious thing. By me becoming a better player, I feel like that helps someone else." - Julian Santos
