Cheshire (Conn.) Cheshire Academy

Vitals: 6-foot-3, 200 pounds
Recruitment: Local regional programs Connecticut and Syracuse were in on Feamster a season ago, and continued their recruitment into his post grad season. He didn’t know where he’d play college ball a season ago so he spent the year at Cheshire Academy in Connecticut to fine tune his skills.
He visited Duke for camp in mid-June and that seemed to have turned the trick as Feamster made his commitment just a few weeks after returning home.
Cutcliffe wasn't the only coach Feamster has created a bond with, however. In fact, his relationship with Duke defensive quality control coach Pat O'Connor has been established for some time.
O'Connor, who arrived at Duke in 2012, is also a Exton native, and he coached Feamster at Downingtown when the prospect was a sophomore.
Now, the two will reunite at the next level.
“I already know him very well," Feamster said. "I got to go to Duke and see what everything is about down there, and have him show me around. It really wasn't getting to know someone brand new. It was like reconnecting with an old friend.
“He helped me out when it came to being recruited by Duke, and I'm really excited."
Early Impact: Feamster will likely redshirt and provide depth in the defensive secondary, though he could move into the outside linebacker portion of the roster as well depending on how he continues to grow.
Scout Take: Feamster is an athlete who is continuing to refine his game and grow. It’s why he ended up taking a post graduate year. At Duke he’ll end up serving as the understudy at the safety position, mimicking Jeremy Cash in playing both safety and outside linebacker at times.
