Vitals: 6-foot-1, 170 pounds
Recruitment: Parker, a 6-foot-1, 170 pound athlete who also plays basketball and runs track for his school, chose Duke over interest from Tennessee. Duke began recruiting him in the early Spring, and the relationship he built with the coaches was too much to turn down.
"They played a big role in my decision, and I just had a great experience when I was there and everything felt right."
In addition to the Volunteers, Parker received interest from several local and in-state programs as well.
Early Impact: The Blue Devils have one of, if not the best kicking game in the country with Ross Martin and Will Monday entering their junior seasons. Barring an injury to either, Parker will redshirt this season and then serve as an understudy for the 2016 season before taking over as either the punter or kicker. Whichever position Parker ends up playing, Duke will likely recruit the other (either kicker or punter) for the class of 2016. The smart money is on Parker being the punter.
Scout Take: Parker has a good leg strength and has played punter and kicker. Was the top specialist at Duke camp over the summer, and like Martin before him, earned a scholarship offer at first glance from the coaches.
