Crowder was a three-plus year starter at Duke and finished his career tied for first in ACC career rankings for pass receptions. He is second in ACC history in 100-yard receiving games, third in receiving yards, fourth in all-purpose yards (5,575) and tied for 14th in TD receptions.
Scout.com rated the former Blue Devil as a three star pro prospect and the 22nd best wide receiver in the draft. The network’s leading NFL analyst, Dave-Te Thomas noted a number of strengths in Crowder’s game leading into Saturday.
“Crowder is a dangerous route runner, especially when he gets a clean release off the snap,” wrote Thomas. “He has natural playing speed and good explosion to separate after the catch. He is agile and elusive racing past the second level and has the suddenness in his plant-&-drive to explode in and out of his breaks. Once he accelerates past the line of scrimmage, he can get into a cornerback’s cushion in an instant.”
