2014 Review
High school prospect. Rated as the No. 9 C in South Region and a three star prospect according to Scout.com

  2015 Preview
As with all incoming freshmen who play on the offensive line, the strong preference by head coach David Cutcliffe is to undergo a redshirt season. Barring a number of injuries, that’s exactly what Baker will do in 2015.

TDD Projection
Baker has the size and strength to play early in his career, but it won’t come in 2015 as he’ll spend the year learning the position with the scout team. In a year or two he’ll be battling for a starting spot at center against players such as Zach Harmon and Austin Davis.

How he ended up in Durham
The talented run blocker gave serious consideration to UCF, Wake Forest, Purdue, West Virginia, California and Oregon State before announcing his commitment to Duke during the last week of July 2014. In all he had more than 20 FBS offers.
