Borders Believes Barnes Ready For Breakout

Junior cornerback Breon Borders sat down with TDD on Wednesday to discuss the start of camp, his approach to the season, and offered his opinions of the toughest wide receivers to check in one on one situations.

When asked which received was the toughest he's checked so far, there wasn't much hesitation in naming former teammate Jamison Crowder. That's a given as the current Washington Redskin worked against Borders for the first two years of his career.

But what about this season?

The answer is the player who is replacing Crowder in the starting lineup and who many believe will be Duke's leading receiver, junior Johnell Barnes who was fourth on the team in catches and yards per catch a season ago.
