2014 Review
Charted as the third string signal caller during Duke’s 2014 season, Boehme played in just three contests - playing several series against Elong and then token appearances against Kansas and Wake Forest. Against the Phoenix he completed one of two passes for 14 yards.

  2015 Preview
With the graduation of Anthony Boone, each of the Blue Devil quarterbacks have moved up one spot on the depth chart. That means Boehme will have opportunities behind new starter Thomas Sirk. Much like Sirk, the big question around Boehme will be his passing acumen which hasn’t been seen in Durham to date and not since his senior season was cut short by injury at Sandalwood High.

TDD Projection
Coach Cutcliffe made a point to note that the role Thomas Sirk played for two years as Anthony Boone’s understudy was not the kind of role you’d see him playing this year as the starter. We see a similar path for Boehme who will step in early as the primary backup which means he’ll have the chance to score a lot of touchdowns in goal line situations. He’ll be asked to move the pile, extend drives, and continue what many fans have dubbed the “Connette package” in honor of former signal caller Brandon Connette. Assuming Sirk performs and holds on to the starting spot, it’s likely Boehme plays a role similar to Sirk’s last two years before taking over in 2017.

How he ended up in Durham
Boehme also had BCS offers from UCF, South Florida, and Iowa State at the time of his commitment to Duke. After picking the Blue Devils, he enrolled at Duke in January of 2013.
