Griffin (GA) / Griffin
Fuller was a three star athlete who played receiver and defensive back at Griffin High in Georgia.
Fuller has excellent athleticism and will spend the 2015 season redshirting and concentrating on the learning curve associated with the cornerback position.
Following his redshirt season we would expect Fuller to factor in early at cornerback behind Breon Borders and and Zach Muniz. Initially there was some debate as to his ultimate position, but with the commitment of T.J. Rahming, Fuller moved to the defensive side of the ball for good.
How he ended up in Durham
Fuller picked Duke over offers from Clemson, Georgia, North Carolina, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and others. And while the Blue Devils certainly recruited him hard, it appears as though Fuller didn't really need the hard sell to make the choice.
"My recruiting coach was Coach Jones, and really, Duke didn't have a main selling point with me. I already knew what the deal was with them, and Duke has always been a stand out for me with academics. I never really knew that football would come into the equation with them."
