Duke Makes Burrell's Final Five

There’s only a few spots remaining in the recruiting class of 2016 for the Duke Blue Devils. One of those spots could be reserved for this three star safety who recently narrowed his list.

Eric Burrell, a three star safety prospect from Owings Mills, MD, has narrowed his list to a final five. He announced the finalists via his Twitter account on September 20th.

Those final five schools are Nebraska, Duke, Wisconsin, Syracuse, and Boston College.

Of the five schools still in contention, Burrell has already taken an official visit to Nebraska, and is planning a visit to Wisconsin in November.

Duke is hoping to snag an official visit sometime between late November and January. It’s a common Blue Devil practice to host the last remaining prospects closer to National Signing Day.

Burrell is rated as the No. 29 safety in the country according to Scout and the third best player at the position in the East Region.
