On Sunday afternoon head coach David Cutcliffe announced that Tyler (TJ) Douglas was no longer a member of the Duke Football program. Douglas, along with Terrence Alls, had been suspended since March of 2015 indefinitely. Alls remains suspended and eligible for reinstatement according to the Duke head coach.
The pair fell into trouble for an undisclosed reason, and Cutcliffe had announced that the suspensions would remain in effect until each player could “uphold the academic, athletic and community standards required of a member of the Blue Devil program.”
Douglas played as a reserve in all 12 games in 2014, recording one tackle. Meanwhile, Alls was one of the most improved players on the offensive side of the ball following Spring Practice.
There is no time table for Alls’ return to game action.
