Offenisve lineman Cody Robinson has suffered a career ending injury. The player announced the news on Monday evening via his social media accounts.
"As most people have heard by now, I reinjured my back Saturday against unc, ending my football playing career. I just wanted to thank everyone for all calls, and messages the past few days and for all the support throughout the years. Also, a big thank you to the Duke training staff and Doctors at Duke Sports Medicine for all the hard work they did to get me back on the field. While I may not be on the field playing anymore, I will still have an active role on the team. ?#?DukeGang?"
A fifth year senior from McMinnville, Tennessee, Robinson began the season in competition to start at right guard after playing in 27 straigh games in 2014 and 2013. He finishes his career having played 541 snaps in five seasons.
