The Blue Devils opened the 2015-2016 season with a  comfortable win against overmatched Siena on Friday night in Cameron Indoor Stadium, winning 92-74 in the first round of the 2K Classic.

Sophomore scoring guard Grayson Allen scored 20 of his game high 26 points in the first half while Amile Jefferson added 19 points and 12 rebounds to help the defending national champions to the win.

It’s a very different look for Coach Mike Krzyzewski’s group which replaces four starters from last year’s championship squad.  One of the players expected to step up and fill the gap left by Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones, and Justise Winslow is freshman Brandon Ingram.

In his first official college game, Ingram scored 15 points on 5-of-16 shooting to go along with five rebounds.

Junior captain Matt Jones was the final Blue Devil to crest the double-figure mark, scoring 10 points in 26 minutes of action.

Though Duke was never in any danger throughout the contest, the Blue Devils did struggle from the field, missing 12 of their first 15 attempts from the perimeter and shooting just 45 percent from the floor on the night.

Duke will return to action tomorrow night against Bryant.
