With a final group of 16, there’s no timetable for a decision on the horizon. In fact the recruiting process is just not beginning to get serious for the 6-foot-5, 185 pound prospect. As we hit the holiday season, Harvey said the priority was working on his game.
“I am definitely working on getting more consistent with my three point shot and then also limiting my turnovers,” explained Harvey. “Those are two areas I have really been working on.”
On the recruiting trail nearly every high profile school in the country has reached out to Harvey, and he has made a handful of recent visits.
“I have been to Notre Dame, Arizona, UCLA, and Duke,” Harvey told Scout.com’s Brian Snow. “Those are the places I saw before the season started.”
Of those visits, it’s safe to say that the Blue Devils were one of, if not the most impressive presentations.
“I was just in awe,” noted Harvey of the Blue Devils visit. “I grew up watching Duke basketball, and to go down there and talk to Coach K was very fun.”
Ranked ninth overall in a very strong class of 2017, Harvey is described as a tremendously skilled shooting guard who boasts myriad offensive talents. He shoots well from long-range, handles very well for his size, finishes above the rim and is a shockingly good rebounder at his position. He's one of the country's best in the Class of 2017.
