Meet The New Devils 2016 - DB Myles Hudzick

Get to know the newest Blue Devils as we go player-by-player in the recruiting class of 2016 with analysis, projections, videos, and more.

Recruiting Recap: Hudzick was offered back in late 2014 and was invited to visit for the Duke-North Carolina football contest in that same year. From there it seemed as though the Blue Devils were on commitment watch.

That commitment came on January 5th, 2015.

"Ever since I visited a few months ago, Duke just felt right for me," said Hudzick. "I honest had nothing negative to say or feel about the program. I loved the coaching philosophy and all the vibes I received were nothing by positive. Everyone there just made me feel at home."

Hudzick reported offers from Boston College and Old Dominion. He had also been fielding interest from Penn State, Wake Forest, NC State, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Virginia Tech, and Temple.

Projected Position: Cornerback/Safety

2016 Projection: At this point there’s no guarantee as to where Hudzick will factor into the depth chart position wise. As such, it’s highly likely that the 5-foot-11, 175 pound prospect will redshirt.

"The coaches told me that we'll have to see where things are when I get there. Right now I am a safety, but if cornerback works better then we'll make that switch in positions. Nothing is set in stone yet in terms of that."

Quotable: "Duke's combination of academics and athletics really can't be beat, and of course my family and I were really impressed by that. With the facilities...I didn't get see everything, but I liked what I saw and the improvements are great."
