Meet The New Devils 2016 - OL Julian Santos

Get to know the newest Blue Devils as we go player-by-player in the recruiting class of 2016 with analysis, projections, videos, and more.

Recruiting Recap: Santos was a player who appeared on the board early in the summer and Duke continued to pursue the talented Florida lineman for three months before pulling ahead for good in mid-October

In addition to the Blue Devils, Santos has offers on the table from Miami, North Carolina, Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, West Virginia and Penn State among others.

Projected Position: Offensive guard

2016 Projection: Duke will no-doubt redshirt every offensive lineman possible. And, now, the program is in a position to do just that. Santos, along with his positional grouping classmates (linemen) enter Duke with the high school accolades of one of the best groups in many years. Ultimately we see the 6-foot-4, 297-pound road-grader playing left guard after a year redshirting.

Quotable: "The reason I chose Duke was because of the amazing chance for a great education," Santos said. "It's a beautiful place that felt like home not only football wise, but like a place that could be home for my family and I."
