Meet The New Devils 2016 - OT Robert Kraeling

Get to know the newest Blue Devils as we go player-by-player in the recruiting class of 2016 with analysis, projections, videos, and more.

Recruiting Recap: Kraeling had a number of offers including those from NC State, Auburn, Duke, Boston College, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Baylor and Miami. He eventually made a trip to North Carolina to visit Duke and NC State. After tripping to Raleigh, he visited Duke and the deal got done.

"I want to compare top academics balanced with competitive football and where I best fit and can make the most contribution," he said at the time.

Soon after committing, Kraeling caught the attention of the Georgia coaching staff which eventually offered, but also prompted the four star prospect to publicly announce he would be shutting down his recruitment for good.

Projected Position: Offensive Tackle

2016 Projection: Like the other freshman linemen, Kraeling will spend 2016 redshirting. He’ll likely end up as a right tackle after adding more strength and size to his frame.

Quotable: “You can’t really top the academics and football there. Coach Cutcliffe wants to build a legacy there, but just maintain one.”
