Meet The New Devils 2016 - OL Jaylen Miller

Get to know the newest Blue Devils as we go player-by-player in the recruiting class of 2016 with analysis, projections, videos, and more.

Recruiting Recap: One of the earlier commitments in the class, pleading to the Blue Devils on March 16th, Miller picked Duke over offers from California, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Miami, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Purdue, South Carolina, and West Virginia.

"What really made me commit to Duke was the fact they wanted me just as bad as I wanted them," Miller said. "I was a priority to them and that meant a lot. Also, the academics there are awesome and a degree from Duke would be great for my future after football.”

Projected Position: Offensive Guard

2016 Projection: Miller has all the tools to be a contributor on the interior of the offensive line in Durham. He’s big, he’s strong, and he plays with a real mean streak inside. However, as with pretty much every lineman who comes to Cutcliffe’s program, the smart money is for Miller to redshirt along with the rest of the first year linemen.

Quotable: "Their coaching staff is genuine and they see big things for me just like I see for myself. I just love Duke and everything about it!"
