#DukeGang17 Starts With Florida Speedster Committing

The Blue Devils earned their first commitment from the class of 2017 with the pledge of this super fast Florida wide receiver.

The Blue Devils began the recruiting class of 2017 by picking up a wide receiver who embodies one of the attributes prized by head coach David Cutcliffe:  Speed.

With a 4.3 forty time, Damond Johnson has developed the reputation of a play-maker at the high school level in Pensacola, Florida.   On Saturday afternoon the 6-foot-1 prospect made the decision to commit to the Blue Devils, becoming Duke’s first commitment from the class of 2017.

Johnson committed while making an unofficial visit to Durham.
