Grayson Allen scored 18 points leading five Blue Devils in double figures as Duke rolled past Florida State on Thursday night to improve to 21-7 on the season and 10-5 in ACC play.
With Allen scoring off the bounce and from the perimeter, Duke found balance in the form of Marshall Plumlee who recorded his sixth double-double of the season. The senior scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Duke grabbed a double figure lead midway through the first half and never relinquished a working margin for the rest of the game.
Also in double figures were Brandon Ingram (16 points), Luke Kennard (12 points), and Matt Jones added 11 points in his first game back since suffering a severely sprained ankle in the first half of the North Carolina game.
The only regular rotation player not to reach double figures was freshman point guard Derryck Thornton, Jr. who returned from an injured shoulder suffered against Louisville. And while he showed no lingering effects from that injury, Thornton was plagued with foul trouble, fouling out late in the second half.
Duke will return to action on Sunday when they travel north to face Pittsburgh.
