During a visit with the Duke coaching staff, five star guard Hamidou Diallo received a scholarship offer on Tuesday afternoon.
Ranked as the nation’s top shooting guard in the class of 2017 by Scout.com, Diallo has offers from a number of high majors including Kentucky, Arizona, Seton Hall, VCU, Iowa State, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Providence, St. Bonaventure, Connecticut, Fairfield, Cal State Bakersfield, Iona, Quinnipiac, USC, St. John's, St. Peter's, Duquesne, Temple, Wake Forest, Indiana, NC State, Louisville, Maryland, Villanova, Florida, Kansas, Alabama, SMU, Syracuse, Boston College and Creighton
This past weekend the Scout.com national team was impressed with the five star athlete and described him as follows:
Diallo impressed with his freakish and explosive athleticism, as well as his competitive nature and effort on the defensive end of the floor. In transition, he was borderline unstoppable, as he aggressively attacked the rim, scored through contact and looked to dunk on the opposition every chance he had. Not known for his shooting, Diallo connected on four of his 10 weekend three-point attempts.
Diallo averaged 18.3 points and 3.7 rebounds, while leading the Rens to a 2-1 record through the first weekend.
