Duke received a commitment from Will Taylor, a 6-foot-3, 261-pound offensive lineman from Loganville (Ga.) Grayson on Thursday afternoon. The three star prospect announced his decision on Twitter.
Taylor, picked Duke over 10 other offers including Boston College, Colorado State, Duke, Illinois, UNC, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, and Ivy Leaguers Columbia and Princeton. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 8 center and the best center in Georgia according to Scout.com.
In March the latest Blue Devil commitment participated at the Opening Regional in Atlanta and impressed the Scout.com national team in attendance.
“He worked at center and he was the best at his position,” said Chad Simmons, Scout.com’s National Recruiting Director.” He was in on so many reps against top defensive tackles and he won more than he lost. He is a very smart football player, he showed good technique, and he has a nice punch.
Taylor becomes the third offensive lineman to commit in the rising senior class.
