Four Star PF Deng Gak Picks Up A Duke Offer

Another high major offer has gone out in the class of 2017 as head coach Mike Krzyzewski phoned four star power forward Deng Gak on Thursday evening.

Four star power forward Deng Gak, a 6-foot-10, 210 pound prospect out of Blairstown (NJ) Blair Academy, was offered by Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski during a phone call between the two parties on Thursday night.

Previously Gak told TDD that an offer from Duke had the potential to shake up an already heavily followed recruiting process.

“I definitely would be considering that as one of the top schools in my mind if they offered. Look at the coaching staff there, it’s amazing and you look at Cameron Indoor Stadium like when you are young, it’s just somewhere where you would like to be.”

Less than 10 days later, Gak was on the phone with Krzyzewski and that offer was delivered.

“He thinks that I have a huge upside and that I fit the Duke system perfectly,” Gak told TDD late Thursday.  “I had kind of heard about their interest, but it’s still surreal when Coach K calls you.”

We’ll have more from Gak soon.
