NOTES

1. The first thing you notice about the depth chart is the number of upperclassmen playing. Coach Cutcliffe’s post-spring list features just five underclassman starters out of 22 positions. With zero freshmen and only one redshirt freshmen listed on the first teams. Second year freshman guard Zach Baker has set himself atop the depth chart along with Sterling Korona at left guard.

2. The offensive line starters average 6-foot-5 and 291 pounds. All five starters are at least redshirt juniors in terms of experience.

3. Thomas Sirk is listed as the program’s starting quarterback despite missing Spring Practice with a second torn Achilles tendon. He is out indefinitely. In his place this Spring were Parker Boehme, Daniel Jones, and Quentin Harris.

4. Walk-on Danny Doyle, a 6-foot-1, 215 pound junior, has surprisingly won the top spot at defensive end. Doyle has played a total of two snaps in his career at Duke. Doyle is lining up opposite of sophomore Marquies Price (6-6, 245).

5. Austin Parker will take over for Will Monday as the team’s punter after serving as understudy to Monday for the last year. Walk-on Danny Stirt sits atop the depth chart at kicker, as Duke has no scholarship kickers on the roster until August.
