Florida defensive prospect Chris Rumph II committed to Duke on Wednesday afternoon according to multiple sources. The 6-foot-3, 200 pound prospect is the son of University of Florida defensive line coach Chris Rumph.
The younger Rumph chose Duke over a handful of offers including Vanderbilt, Central Florida, and Florida International.
The newest Blue Devils played both defensive end and outside linebacker for Gainesville (Fla.) Buchholz High and reports a near 30" vertical, and 4.43 time in the shuttle run.
With the news of Rumph's decision, Duke now has a total of nine commitments in the class of 2017.
