After competing at the Team USA Camp in last week, five star point guard Quade Green will make an unofficial visit to Duke on Monday.
Originally Green was scheduled to visit after attending the CP3 camp, but has moved his visit up to Monday. We spoke to Green last week in Colorado multiple times and found that the nation’s No. 25 overall prospect and No. 4 point guard was hoping for the trip to Durham to result in some recruiting developments.
“I’m waiting for them to offer me now,” Green told TDD. “Hopefully it happens, I don’t know, I’ve got to visit them first.”
After putting together a strong start to the AAU season, Green began attracting attention from the Duke coaching staff. As the months have progressed, the Blue Devils have continued to ramp up the attention.
“I’ve been talking to all of the coaches lately, they’ve been reading up on me and they want me to keep doing what I’ve been doing. They’ve told me I’m their No. 2 priority for point guard recruiting, and I think Trae [Young] was their No. 1.”
However, the Blue Devils had not recruited Young for several months, and Green seems OK with the way things have progressed and how Duke has handled their priority recruits.
“Not everybody can go there, and everyone needs to see what’s best for them.”
