Duke announces early enrollees

Duke announces three new members of the football team.

Duke officially announced the addition of three early enrollees as members of the football team. Graduate transfer Evan Lisle, Quarterback Chris Katrenick and Safety Marquis Waters

Lisle, a 6'7", 308 pound offensive lineman graduated from Ohio State this past December. A member of their loaded 2013 recruiting class, he was a top 100 prospect, a four-star, and the sixth ranked tackle prospect in the country. He earned his first varsity O letter in 2015 and has played in 26 games the last two years.

Katrenick, a 6'2", 205-pound quarterback from Algonquin, Ill., committed to the Blue Devils when four star prospect Jack Sears opted to stay on the west coast. A consensus three-star prospect, he threw for 5,350 yards and 48 touchdowns for Harry D. Jacobs High School. 

“It’s a really exciting day for me and my family,” Katrenick said. “It’s a great university, great academics. I couldn’t be more excited.”

Waters, a 6'1", 195 pound safety from the sunshine state is another three-star prospect. As a senior he registered nine pass breakups and four interceptions. He is ranked as the 112 safety in the country by
